As the Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor in a healthcare setting, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for one or more hospital sites with high volume and complexity. You will oversee a diverse team of non-exempt employees, ensuring a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment. Serving as the primary point of contact for Servicon’s client(s), you will be accountable for delivering best-in-class service outcomes that support patients, families, clinical staff, and client leadership. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on operational execution to achieve performance, quality, and compliance goals.

The Role

As the Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor in a healthcare setting, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for one or more hospital sites with high volume and complexity. You will oversee a diverse team of non-exempt employees, ensuring a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment. Serving as the primary point of contact for Servicon’s client(s), you will be accountable for delivering best-in-class service outcomes that support patients, families, clinical staff, and client leadership. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on operational execution to achieve performance, quality, and compliance goals.

What You Will Do

  • Plans, directs, leads, and coordinates the organizational, technical, and administrative functions in all EVS areas at healthcare client site(s)
  • Leads the EVS department, overseeing all Servicon EVS systems/processes/programs.
  • Monitors operational programs, assuring that site(s) are maintained as safe and clean.
  • Assures that the EVS department follows techniques that drive results, both for the EVS team as well as client and Servicon leadership. This includes Quality Improvement, EVS tech training for optimal results, Infection Prevention products and techniques based on client requirements, and management of labor productivity, client budget, KPI and Goal tracking, and budget adherence.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of latest environmental trends, products, and regulatory requirements necessary to deliver efficient and effective EVS results.
  • Ensures EVS is delivered to healthcare client and completed to contractual specifications. When needed, is the point of escalation for questions/concerns.
  • Recruits for site managers/asst dirs., including requisition, interviewing, and selection. Once selected, responsible for orienting, training, and developing these new leaders
  • Leads, trains, and mentor’s supervisors and managers effectively for growth.
  • Builds interdepartmental leader relationships centered on executing agreed upon strategy within the hospital.

What It Takes To Be Successful

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive management or supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare/hospital/environmental services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven track record of managing staffing, scheduling, and performance to meet operational goals.
  • Must adhere to hospital infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Shift flexibility may be required (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish fluency, preferred
  • Experience working with Unions and CBAs, preferred

Clearance

  • Must successfully complete background check, health clearance, drug screen and Live Scan as required
  • Covid-19 vaccination requirements may vary by client site.

 

Environment

Position is located in a healthcare/hospital setting. Work may involve exposure to: Patients, visitors, and clinical staff in active care areas; Biological and bodily fluids (with proper PPE provided); Cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and standard janitorial supplies; Continuous movement, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $68,000 – 74,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education. You will also be eligible for annual cash bonuses based upon performance and other factors.
