The Electrician Technician I brings 3–5 years of apprentice-level experience to support and maintain the facility’s electrical infrastructure. This role is responsible for performing electrical services in compliance with local codes and standards, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, devices, and equipment throughout the plant. The technician ensures reliable power delivery to all connected loads in an industrial environment and makes necessary installation changes to meet operational needs.  |   | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. | Note: Follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

The Role

The Electrician Technician I brings 3–5 years of apprentice-level experience to support and maintain the facility’s electrical infrastructure. This role is responsible for performing electrical services in compliance with local codes and standards, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, devices, and equipment throughout the plant. The technician ensures reliable power delivery to all connected loads in an industrial environment and makes necessary installation changes to meet operational needs. 

 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Note: Follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and complete timely repairs.
  • Run conduit and cable to support repairs, equipment moves, and general maintenance.
  • Install and bend EMT conduit, flex, and other piping systems for electrical infrastructure.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, including transformers and motors; replace damaged wires and cables.
  • Connect power to industrial machines and equipment; verify proper rotation, grounding, and functionality.
  • Modify existing electrical distribution systems to support new production techniques, under the direction of the Engineering Department.
  • Install new electrical panels, including internal devices, components, and circuit breakers.

Low Voltage and Life Safety Systems:

  • Install, service, and maintain low-voltage communication systems, including:

    • Fiber optic and Cat 6 data cabling

    • A/V systems, phones, and signal wiring

  • Support Life Safety Systems, including:

    • Fire alarm and smoke detection systems

    • Surveillance cameras, DVRs, and access control systems

    • Intercoms, network clocks, audio, security, HVAC pressure sensors

    • Freezer/cooler probes and all related cabling

  • Provide electrical services for emergency lighting, fire riser alerts, CO detection, and door sensor integration.

What It Takes to be Successful

  • 3-5 years electrician apprentice work, including low voltage
  • Experience with switchgear maintenance, solar panel connections, alternate energy sources, high voltage,
  • UPS, and generators.
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Organized and efficient, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills to translate customer requirements into deliverable action.
  • Understand and follow all building codes.
  • Lift 50-70 pounds safely.
  • Functions well in fast-paced, dynamic facilities environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with clients
  • Demonstrated Technical skills (Microsoft Outlook, CMMS, systems, etc., power tools, handheld tools
